A: The candle container holds 6 oz of melted wax. When the wax hardens and the candle is complete, the total weight of the finished candle has to go on the label to meet labeling and shipping requirements.

Q: The item(s) that I want is out of stock, when will it be back in stock and how will I know?
A: Items that are out of stock are replenished in 2 to 3 weeks. Each item is hand made and has to cure for 2 weeks. When the item is made, it will be posted to the website. Please email us the item(s) that you are interested in and you will be notified when the item is back in stock.
Q: What are the note profiles listed with each candle/melt?
A: Note profiles are the scent make up of the candle. As you smell the candle, you smell it in layers. The top layer will be the first scent(s) that you smell then the top note turns into the middle tone and finishes with the base notes. All together, the top, middle and base layers of the scent combine to make up the total scent of the candle.
Q: What is in my candle/melt?
A: All candles and melts are start with 100% soy wax. The wax is blended with the scent which is derived from pure essential oils. On occasion, synthetic diluted scent powders and oils will be added to create the profile make up of the candle.
Q: How do I care for my candle/melt?
A: As for melts, when the wax is done with its scent or you are ready for a change, you can melt the wax in the warmer tray and either absorb the unused wax with a cotton ball or pour the wax back into the melt container for future use.
For candles, Be sure to trim the wick before you light your candle. The wick should be no longer than 1/4 inch. When you are ready to use your candle for the first time, let it burn at least 2 hours before blowing it out. Make sure that your candle has plenty of room. Do not place your candle near walls, paper, flammable objects, drafts or fans or in the reach of a child. Be sure to toss your candle when there is only 1/4 of wax left.
Q: Can I pick the donation charity?
A: if you host a party in the Grand Junction, CO area, the host picks the charity that the sales of the party get donated to. It can be a local charity, national charity or a charity that is dear to you. Please see the Book a Party section for times and dates.
Q: Is Candles for a Cause part of a national company?
A: No. Candles for a Cause is an independent company owned and operated by a single person. Candles for a Cause is a home business based out of Grand Junction, CO.
Q: The Charity of the Month is the same as the charity last month, why is that?
A: At times, sales for the month do not meet the minimum donation mark. If sales for the month do not meet the $10.00 minimum donation amount, the Charity of the Month will roll over from the previous charity to the current month.
