How Candles for a Cause
came to be.
It all started with an idea. An idea to take candles everyone loves and bring a new element into the mix. It wasn’t enough just to make candles, they had to mean something. With that, adopting a plan to have sales benefit charity took Candles for a Cause from an idea, to a tangible business.
Established in May 2019.
Candles for a Cause started with 10 scents in its line up. The original collection was offered in two size of candles only. Upon gaining traction, the original collection has grown and has been joined by a second collection. Now offering 40 scents in the two collections, Everyday and Holiday, Candles for a Cause has donated over $400.00 to more than a dozen charities.
Meet the Maker.
Candles for a Cause is owned and operated by Andrea Freeborn. A wife, mom and full time employee, Andrea runs the business in her spare time. All of the candles are homemade by her from the candle studio inside her home. She pours each candle by hand and in small batches. Making candles by hand, a batch at a time, ensures that the quality of each candle is consistent. In addition to creating the business and hand making each candle, each photo was done by her. Wanting to give back, she donates to charity with each item sold.
